On April 10, the group visited the Idaho Forest Group sawmil in Chilco, Idaho. There was a mill tour and a rollout of logs to scale in the log yard. The agreed upon school-book answer was (Scribner short log): gross volume = 12,190: net volume = 11,140. Many thanks to Idaho Forest Group for the excellent hospitality. |
